This weekend is really like the dress rehearsal for St. Patrick’s Day — so get your comfortable shoes ready. The Snake Saturday Parade and Family Fun Day Festival in North Kansas City is set for Saturday at 11 a.m. (14th and Swift) And the delicious smell? The North Kansas City Missouri State BBQ Championship nearby. 

Brookside hosts its annual St. Patrick’s Warm-Up Parade on Saturday at 2 p.m. Its 1980s retro, but leg warmers are optional. The next day is Irishpalooza in Martin City, with activities for kids beginning at 11:30 a.m. and the parade kicking off at 2 p.m.
