Now open: Cami’s Cakes in Eudora, Kansas

There aren’t a lot of commercial businesses on Main Street in Eudora, Kansas — the “downtown district” of the hamlet outside Lawrence — and very little in the way of culinary venues other than a Mexican-Chinese restaurant, Jasmin, and the Black Cat Cafe. Over the last few years, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Room abandoned an old bank building in Eudora for bigger quarters in Bonner Springs, and a stylish coffeehouse, Coffee Talk, ground to a halt.

There’s a new tenant now at 724 Main — the old Coffee Talk location — although Cami SanRomani’s one-month-old Cami’s Cakes isn’t a fully operational bakery … yet.
