Not Your Average Tribute Band

Dread Zeppelin‘s 1990 debut, Un-Led-Ed, introduced the world to the group’s singular take on Led Zeppelin songs. Since then, Dread has seen success beyond the norm for a cover band, earning Robert Plant’s seal of approval along the way. Twenty years later, Dread has added Bob Marley, Elvis, the Yardbirds and others to its repertoire, but it also still belts out Elvis-fronted, reggae-rhythmed Zep covers. Frontman Tortelvis and crew perform at 9 p.m. at Knuckleheads Saloon (2715 Rochester, 816-483-1456). Dread’s two previous shows at Knuckleheads brought large crowds. Tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 at the door; order from knuckleheadskc.com or etix.com.
