Nica’s Cafe will not reopen

Nica’s Cafe and its homemade beignets will not be coming to Kansas City. The Overland Park restaurant closed in January and was hoping to relocate to the Crossroads District. But late Friday morning on its Facebook page, Nica’s let fans know that it won’t be happening:

Thanks everyone for supporting Nica’s Cafe. We have decided not to relocate. There were several memorable moments. Peace, Love & Beignets!, reads the restaurant’s wall.
