Navigate KCK’s Mexican cuisine with Central Avenue’s annual “The Flavors of Central” tour this weekend

Looking for a way to stretch your legs and enjoy the evolution of Mexican cuisine in KCK? Venture to Bethany Park Saturday for the “Flavors of Central Tour” and quench both thirsts.

Between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on June 21, the self-guided tour kicks off at the La Placita at Bethany Park. A passport will guide you through a variety of dishes, drinks, and desserts at restaurants and bars. The tour, put on by the Central Avenue Betterment Association, is designed to be driven by the tourist’s choice, free to explore all of KCK’s Mexican cuisine scene by following their own path.

At $35 for youths and $45 for adults, the Flavors of Central Tour is unique and special, featuring dishes curated by culinary connoisseurs that all come from the eateries’ everyday menus. All of the participating spots are close to one another, and attendees are invited to walk, ride a bike, or use the RideKC Bus free service to navigate the tour.

This year, all proceeds will be donated to the Free Wheels 4 Kids cycling club program. Tickets and more information are available on the Flavors of Central Tour website.
