#NachosandTacos Commandments
1. They Might Run Out
Trust us, you’re going to go ham on these nachos and tacos, so we actually feel a little bad for the restaurants. They will be hit like never before in their histories. So, if a place runs out of their #NachosandTacos goods toward the end of a shift, take it like a champ: go back the next day, this time earlier, order your tortilla-based delicacy, and thank them for working their rumps off to do this for you. Do Not Be A Jerk To Our Restaurants. We’re in this together, people.
2. There Will Be Waits
People have been talking about #NachosandTacos for weeks. It will become an institution built on the foundation of tortilla-time desire. We’re talking 1/2 price food here, people. Don’t be surprised if restaurants have waits. If they do, buy a drink and relax, maybe share a post on social media using #OurPitch. Some restaurants are down for the takeout boogie, some aren’t. Not sure? REALLY in a hurry? You can always call ahead!
3. You Will Tip
Great deals on good food bring out the cheap in all of us, but really, sometimes you’re getting a $15+ entrée (many restaurants get a little aggressive), so please tip at least 20%. The people who are serving you are working harder during #NachosandTacos than at any other point in the year. A kind word will also be welcome—these people are our friends and neighbors, and you are NOT an A$$hole.
4. You Really Should Buy a Drink and/or Other Foods
Most #NachosandTacos offerings are à la carte. In most cases, sides are extra. While extra purchases are not a requirement, we feasting fanatics think it says something good about you if you show a little love to a restaurant going above and beyond to bring you an awesome specialty taco or serving of nachos (FOR 1/2 PRICE). Pick up some fries, chips, salsa, guac, a salad—maybe even a drink (or two or three) to help you get through the rest of your week! You’ll enjoy yourself more.
