Sweet and fizzy sounds like an ’80s cover band, but that’s the way that Jowler Creek Vineyard & Winery (16905 Jowler Creek Road) describes Muskrato de Missouri. The popular white wine is a perennial sellout.

This weekend, the Platte City winery is holding free tastings of the bubbly, fruity white wine (think Missouri’s verson of Moscato d’Asti), along with a few bites that pair well with the wine, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. As part of the release party, cases are 20 percent off.
