Murray’s Ice Cream: It’s open and going hog wild!

Heralding the arrival of warm weather, Murray Nixon re-opened her namesake ice cream emporium in Westport two weeks ago for what will be her 26th season selling signature flavors like Chocolate Flake Fromage and One Drunk Monk. Nixon’s rotating selection features 200 hand-crafted favorites and one new offering: Hog Heaven, maple walnut ice cream with bits of real bacon.
Nixon recently spent four hours frying bacon for the new flavor, which was initially created for last year’s Baconfest in Kansas City.
