Man crashes into Plaza McDonald’s

Around 9:30 last night a man being pursued by police crashed his vehicle into the McDonald’s at 500 Nichols Road, better known as the McDonald’s on the Plaza (the picture accompanying this post isn’t of the actual crash site, but for illustration purposes only!).
The police were called to a burglary on 53rd street and then followed a darkly colored car until it crashed. What are the odds the man picks the only McDonald’s in the city without a drive-through to… drive through?
This is the second time in less than six months that car and restaurant have met in Kansas City. The first was in December when an elderly driver crashed through the window at Avenues Bistro on the corner of 63rd and Wornall. Charles Ferruzza wrote that nobody “seems to know if the driver of the vehicle stayed for lunch.” In this case, I can positively say the suspect didn’t stick around for a value meal.
