Let’s See Some Tailgating!

By Owen Morris
All right Chiefs fans! It’s finally time for the team’s home opener against hated rivals the Al Davis Hairpieces Oakland Raiders. Realistic expectations don’t have the Chiefs doing so hot this year but the Raiders are just as bad. It’s one of the few times the Chiefs are favored to win. The game itself is only one reason to attend Arrowhead this Sunday; a more delicious reason is the tailgating.
Whenever I’m lucky enough to score a ticket to a Chief’s game, I’m blown away by the size, effort and amount of ribs at some of these tailgates. There’s a significant amount of culinary talent in the parking lot of Arrowhead.
I want to highlight some of that talent, so I need some help from Fat City readers. If you’re attending a game, bring along your digital camera and snap a couple pics of some of the more impressive barbecue spreads you see. It can be whatever impresses: your own tailgate, the people you park next to, the random huge party. E-mail them to me at Owen.Morris@pitch.com
I’ll post all of the interesting and delicious pictures we get right here. Or if you have a spare ticket, I’d be more than happy to go for you. Go Chiefs!
