La Bodega celebrates it’s first anniversary at One Nineteen

- La Bodega is ready to celebrate.
Sometimes for an anniversary, you’ll have all your neighbors over to celebrate. It’s just that your neighbors aren’t Glace and the Roasterie. La Bodega (4311 West 119th Street) is celebrating its first year over at the One Nineteen Shopping Center in Leawood this week. Tonight, the tapas bar and lounge is holding a benefit for Turning Point — a nonprofit that works with individuals and families dealing with a serious or chronic physical illness. The event is from 6 to 9 p.m. and includes Spanish coffee from the Roasterie and Spanish ice cream from Christopher Elbow’s Glace. There’s a suggested donation of $10 at the door, and that comes with two drink tickets (good for either sangria or Estrella/Bohemia beer) and unlimited tapas.
