KU & Salty Iguana intend to serve the world’s largest plate of nachos
It’s not a stretch to say that college kids love nachos, but Kansas University intends to take its appreciation for some melted cheese to the next level.
On Saturday, April 21, the Kansas Athletics department is teaming up with the Salty Iguana and the university’s hospitality partner, Centerplate, in an attempt to break the world record for the biggest plate of nachos. A representative from the Guinness Book of World Records will be at Memorial Stadium (1017 West 11th Street) in Lawrence, certifying the construction of the nacho plate, which is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
