Kansas Craft Brewers Exposition bringing regional brewers to Lawrence in March

Chuck Magerl, the founder of the Free State Brewing Co., has always loved beer, not just for what’s in the bottle, but because of its ability to help people find common ground around a common passion. And now Magerl is hoping to find a lot of brewers and beer lovers just like him, via the inaugural Kansas Craft Brewers Exposition — a gathering of regional craft brewers on Saturday, March 3, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Abe & Jake’s Landing (8 E. Sixth St.) in Lawrence.

“Events like this are great for us as brewers because we not only get to enjoy the inspiration of the brewing community, but we also have a chance to share directly with beer enthusiasts the stories and the details of our beers and our work,” Magerl said in a release about the event.
