Kansas City Irish Fest and other weekend possibilities

Kansas City Irish Fest celebrates its 10th anniversary this year starting tonight. Irish Fest runs through Sunday. The festivities at Crown Center Square include plenty of entertainment, loads of traditional Irish food (the Old Bag of Nails Pub and Hamish Kitchen deserve a visit) and two different tastings: Irish whiskey ($15 in advance, $20 at the gate) and a Boulevard Smokestack Series tasting ($10 for four samples). A single-day ticket costs $10 in advance or $15 at the gate, while a weekend pass is $25.
