Job fair at Power & Light District this Tuesday

Attention all readers looking to get into a restaurant/bar job, or who are in the culinary arts and looking to move: There is a KC Live! Open House this Tuesday and you’re invited.

We will be having a one day “Hospitality Open House” on Tuesday, February

24, 1 to 7 p.m. central. It will be held at the Shark Bar, located on

the 2nd floor of the Live Block. Hiring Mangers for Shark Bar, PBR Big

Sky, Angels Rock Bar, Mosaic, Maker’s Mark, Tengo sed Cantina, Vinino,

McFadden’s, and The Indie will be on hand to interview for the

following positions: restaurant/bar management, server, host,

bartender, kitchen and culinary positions and sales/promotions.

It’s nice to see some businesses hiring and even if you don’t need a job, I bet you have a friend or a friend of a friend who does. Also Tuesday, McFadden’s and Shark Bar (1340 Grand Boulevard, 816-442-8140) are co-hosting a Fat Tuesday Bash with live music, $2 specials all night long and, of course, the inevitable beads. 

So come for the job fair, stay for the party. Just avoid the beads. Especially in front of a potential employer — trust us, avoid the beads.
