Is a pre-calculated tip helpful or obnoxious on a receipt?

I had lunch at Hickok’s Bar & Grill yesterday amid a sea of green-shirted Kansas Citians ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. I managed to enjoy Wild Bill’s fried burger ride and instead opted for the holiday special — a slow-braised corned-beef Reuben with homemade Thousand Island aioli on marbled rye.

Between the sandwich and some crispy, skin-on fries, I was barely able to hold a pen, let alone think about the total on my receipt. And in my meat-induced haze, I almost missed the three numbers at the base of my receipt, with the pre-calculated totals for a 15, 20 and 25 percent tips.
