How do you feel about dinner for breakfast?
Fast-food joints are often maligned, in this space and others, for ridiculous menu machinations. But I think Wendy’s may deserve a bit of credit for its latest innovation. Forget breakfast for dinner. Wendy’s is now committed to bringing you dinner for breakfast.
While I’m still not sold on its cheeseburger to start my morning, the concept is intriguing enough that I’d love to see it extend beyond the drive-through. Why don’t more places offer dinner for breakfast or the dinner equivalent of an all-day breakfast menu? This could signal a radical shift away from abominations like breakfast pizza and may be an improvement on cold leftover pizza. Instead, we could have hot, fresh pizza at any time of day. Who’s up for dinnereakfest or dinnerfest?
