Hickok’s Bar & Grill has closed in the River Market

Hickok’s Bar and Grill has moseyed on from the space at 528 Walnut. After two and a half years in the River Market, the Southwest-style bar and grill has closed. It had a vibrant happy hour for a while, and I once inexplicably spent St. Patrick’s Day there with a plate of nachos.

Back in February 2011, Charles Ferruzza reviewed the month-old restaurant and thought it had the elements to succeed. He just wondered if it was “the right space at the right time?” Prior to Hickok’s, the space housed Dos Hombres Mexican Restaurant.
