The Vibe: The light is dim and the wood is polished at Mike’s Tavern. It’s like the 46-year-old neighborhood bar got a shave and a haircut before it reopened in May.

This bar is comfortable, even when it’s quiet. Even better, it’s always easy to catch the eye of the bartender. And last month the unofficial mascot of the bar — the Moose — returned.
