Gather the kids — you’re going out to dinner tonight

Normally it can be a chore to find a restaurant that just tolerates kids, much less gives them meals for free. But these ain’t normal times, and restaurants desperately want you and your offsprings’ business.

Frugal Living TV has compiled a list of more than 50 restaurants with deals that allow kids to eat free.

At Zarda Barbecue, kids eat free all day Wednesday. Not to be outdone, KC Masterpiece (10985 Metcalf, 913-345-2255) lets kids eat free from 4 p.m. until close. Not feeling like barbecue? On Wednesdays and Sundays children 12 and under get a free kid’s meal of a sub, cookie, drink and fireman’s hat after 4 p.m. at Firehouse Subs (8934 Nw Skyview Ave, 816-505-3473).

Tomorrow, kids’ meals are free at Captain D’s (whether you should take children to Captain D’s in the first place is a different post) as well as at Backyard Burger after 4 p.m. And there are free meals for children every day of the week at CiCi’s Pizza, IHOP, Picadilly’s and Shoney’s.

A full list of every day of the week is here.

Just remember there are often caveats — sometimes they require the purchase of an adult meal, or some franchisees might not carry the special, so always call in advance.
