Galvin’s Dinnerhouse lives on — in a Shrine Temple

Last August, just six days before Galvin’s Dinnerhouse, the iconic fried chicken restaurant in St. Joseph, celebrated its 70th anniversary, the building nearly burned to the ground in a devastating fire.
The restaurant is still in the process of re-building, according to Toni Grace, who has operated the venue with husband Bill Grace for many years. “The outside is done,” she tells me. “We’re working on the inside.”
But if you crave a plate of Galvin’s pan-fried fried chicken, you can still get it — today!
