Funnel cake sticks in your face
I never thought my car would smell like a state fair — but then I ordered a box of funnel cake sticks at the Burger King drive-thru.
The newest product from BK runs you $1.79 for a package of nine cigarillo-shaped cakes that come with a container of icing. They smell just like the delicacies on that grease-laden paper plate at the fair, but don’t deliver the same hot fat punch that one expects from a fried dough relative.
In shape and texture, these would be better labeled as funnel cake fries. They have the same starchiness and give of a Burger King french fry and are also a bit mushy, like overcooked fries.
