Freebirds World Burrito opens Thursday at 6029 Metcalf in Mission, and the first 25 people in line get free burritos (one a week) for a year.
This is the 74th location for the Austin, Texas-based chain amid a planned Midwest expansion that calls for 27 restaurants in Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. Construction has already begun on a second area location in the former Chili’s at 554 Westport Road in Westport.
