Forks & Corks tonight

From Andre’s to Zest, it seems every restaurant in town turns out to help Harvesters with its annual Forks & Corks event, now in its 13th year.

The benefit begins tonight at 6 in the Grand Ballroom of the Kansas City Convention Center. Cellar Rat, Bristol Seafood, NoRTH, Pierpont’s, Parisi Coffee, The American Restaurant and Skies at the Hyatt are just a few of the 30 restaurants providing samples and libations.

There’s also a silent auction with many food-related items up for bid, including a beer tasting party for 35 people at Boulevard Brewery; a chance for two people to dine in the kitchen of the American Restaurant on a Sunday night; one week of personal service from In Home Bistro; and more than a dozen bottles of vintage wine.

One-hundred percent of the $85 ticket price goes to help feed the hungry in Kansas City ($50 of the ticket price is tax deductible). Last year the event raised more than $200,000.

You can purchase tickets tonight on-site at the Grand Ballroom.
