Foodstock KC unites music with a mission

Foodstock

This weekend, the Kansas City creative community is banding together for a worthy cause at Foodstock, a benefit concert supporting A Turning Point (ATP) Food Pantry. The event takes place on Sunday, Nov. 9, from 12 to 5 p.m. at Fountain City Winery and aims to provide an afternoon of live music and collective goodwill.

As rising grocery prices and dwindling SNAP benefits put pressure on families nationwide, ATP continues to serve Kansas Citians experiencing food insecurity and homelessness. Foodstock aims to amplify that mission—one song and one can at a time.

The lineup features an eclectic mix of local talent, including Michael Doss, Paul Seiz, Maggie Moon & Greg Bowman, Coralyn Martin, Dee Debrick, Sam Mosburg, and Michael McQuary with #YourEssenceInSeconds, with more artists expected to join.

Entry is $5, or guests can bring a nonperishable food item or hygiene product for free admission. All proceeds and donations directly benefit A Turning Point KC, a grassroots nonprofit organization that provides food, clothing, and resources to neighbors in need.
