Food Truck Fiesta and your other weekend plans

After months of reporting on the food trucks that are coming, it’s time to get your two feet over to the kitchens on four wheels. You’ll have two chances to try some of the new mobile kitchens. The Roasterie (1204 W. 27th St.) is holding a Food Truck Fiesta on Saturday — a benefit for the Cabot Westside Health Center. A $5 donation buys entry and unlimited Roasterie coffee and samples of Boulevard beers. You can then fill your belly with food from the Good You, 3 Girls Cupcakes, and Port Fonda

The Kansas City Star is holding a Food Truck Friday — to coincide with First Friday — in its parking lot at 1729 Grand. The free event starts at 5 p.m., but bring cash to pay for food from Port Fonda, 3 Girls Cupcakes, CoffeeCake KC, Indios Carbonsitos, Magical Meatball Tour, tje Good You and the Roasterie.
