Five Guys, In-N-Out top Consumer Reports‘ burger survey

We need to get jobs giving burger surveys. The latest ranking of grilled patties comes courtesy of Consumer Reports, which asked more than 28,000 subscribers to rank burgers at fast-food restaurants on a scale of 1 to 10, for an article set to run in its October issue.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries and In-N-Out Burger topped the list of 18 chains (wow, there are 18 burger chains?), with an average score of 7.9. Bringing up the rear was McDonald’s with a paltry 5.6. Jack In The Box fans will be disappointed to hear that the chain coming back to Kansas City, Kansas,  managed only a 6.3.
