It’s the perfect day to burst into song, perhaps the classic “Feel Like A Nut” commercial jingle from the 1970s or the more elaborate version from the 1980s. Both are unforgettable musical tributes to the beloved Almond Joy candy bar.

The Almond Joy — a classic dating back to 1946 — is also the inspiration for the Almond Joy Martini, another potent potable that might be consumed today.

And since this day honors the memory of President Abraham Lincoln, there’s no better time to get into the kitchen and whip up Mary Todd Lincoln’s White Almond Cake. The 16th President said it was “the best he ever ate.”
