Eat a burrito, save a puppy

Cat and dog lovers might not be ready to break bread together — but they can each buy their own burrito at a fundraiser for The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.

Today all Kansas City area Chipotle restaurants are donating 50 percent of their proceeds — up to $5,000 — to the Humane Society. But to make sure your order is counted as part of the fundraiser, you need to download and present this flier from the Humane Society’s Web site (the hyperlink is under March events) to the cashier.

All of the Chipotle locations in Kansas City (13127 State Line, 501 W. 75th St., 4851 Main Street, 1713 W. 39th St.. 1370 Walnut Street, 8600 N. Boardwalk Ave.) are open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will be participating. A check will be presented to the Humane Society during the KC Pet Telethon on March 14, which runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
