Dunkin’ Donuts to open five new restaurants in North Kansas City

Dunkin’ Donuts is coming north of the river. In a press release this morning, the doughnut chain out of Canton, Massachusetts, announced that it has signed a franchise deal to bring five locations to North Kansas City by 2016.

The first will open in 2012, and future doughnut shops are being planned for Liberty and Gladstone. The development group includes former NFL offensive lineman Zach

Wiegert, kicker Kris Brown, and Jeff Woodbury of the Woodbury Corporation.
