Boulevard’s Smokestack series releases have come fast and furious this month, with two new 750 ml bottles hitting liquor store shelves in the past two weeks. We’ll uncork a bottle of Dark Truth Stout next week, but today belongs to Rye-on-Rye

Since Rye-on-Rye’s release last Monday, the ale — aged in oak barrels from Templeton Rye — has been getting some buzz from beer store employees and bloggers alike. Word is that it’s managed to capture the flavor of the oak barrels without being overpowered by the rye they once held.
