Doritos Cheeseburger chips out-beef frozen White Castle sliders

I type this, ginger ale in hand, wondering what exactly I was thinking when I embarked on the latest (and perhaps beefiest) battle of the dishes. Five months worth of advertising for the Doritos Late Night Cheeseburger worked. I caved and bought a bag of these unholy chips.

In searching for a worthy opponent, I immediately thought of a true late-night cheeseburger, the grilled heart-stoppers at Town Topic. But that wouldn’t be much of a contest. These battles are designed to pit two dishes that each have a chance to win. So, with no White Castle in town, I opted for the next best thing — frozen sliders from the burger chain.
