Don’t eat bean dip before the city council meeting!

OK, so maybe it wasn’t bean dip that caused the unfortunate farting episode that disrupted a City Council meeting in the hamlet of Medina, Ohio.

All kinds of foods can cause severe flatulence, including milk and milk products, fried beans and peas, cabbage, brussels sprouts and all kinds of otherwise healthy fruits and vegetables.

Jane Leaver, the mayor of Medina, Ohio insists that no one at the council meeting actually farted — even though she needed to call a recess during the meeting because the council members got the giggles. Leaver thinks some prankster at the meeting used an iPhone application to create a noisy sound effect.

FYI: There are ways to remove farts from beans.
