Paper or plastic has a different connotation at grocery stores today. Now, it’s all about paper plates and plastic forks as supermarkets are discovering that having a restaurant can be a good way to drive traffic to their stores.

The Boston Globe looks at the growing trend of high-end supermarket dining experiences, meant to compete directly with restaurants (think something along the lines of the Cosentino’s Market downtown on Main Street). Do you ever go out to eat at a supermarket’s restaurant?
