Danny Edwards Blvd Barbecue gets a love note from USA Today

In basketball, they say that the “ball don’t lie.” In barbecue, the same can be said for the ribs. Larry Olmsted of USA Today left Danny Edwards Blvd. Barbecue with what was likely a clean plate full of rib bones, a full belly and a serious crush on the barbecue joint at 2900 Southwest Boulevard. Here’s Olmsted on the ribs:

“They are big, meaty, juicy and perfectly cooked, with just enough snap and chew so that you can see the perimeter of your individual bites, not dried out nor overcooked to the fall-off-the-bone style sadly popularized by chain restaurants.”

Danny Edwards earned Best Chili this year (in the Best Of issue out yesterday) and in 2011, The Pitch named its ribs the best in Kansas City.
