Culvers donates portion of sales today to Haiti relief

Culver’s — the home of ButterBurgers, shakes (chocolate banana, trust us), and fish and chips — donates 10 percent of today’s sales to American Red Cross Haiti Relief

This is a widescale fundraiser sponsored by the Wisconsin-based chain, which has more than 400 restaurants in 17 states. Locally, there’s a Culver’s in Kansas City, Missouri (7953 State Line Road), Lee’s Summit (1701 N.E. Douglas St.), Raymore (1621 West Foxwood Drive), Kansas City, Kansas (1925 Prairie Crossing), Overland Park (8600 W. 135th St.), and Olathe (18685 W. 151st St.).

The money raised will go toward “providing food, shelter and emotional support for those impacted by the devastation,” American Red Cross representative Tom Mooney said in a press release.

So, here’s one case when we’ll encourage you to lose your battle of wills with a ButterBurger.
