Cow briefly escapes fate at Blue Springs meat market

Vegetarians will love the first part of this story, but I’m afraid the tale of a cow that escaped yesterday from the Winter Meat Processing Plant, a Blue Springs meat market, doesn’t come with a Hollywood ending.

According to KSHB Channel 41, the unnamed cow (we don’t name what we eat) managed to get past a fence and was found wandering in several fast-food parking lots by Blue Springs police. It stopped in at Sonic and Planet Sub before police made the decision to take down the rogue animal, fearing it might wander into traffic on Interstate 70.
