Couzins Catfish couple sentenced for telling IRS a big fish story

​It may be pushing it to call the three fried-fish restaurants owned by local restaurateurs Dewayne and Lisa Acklin castles. After all, the Raytown location was formerly a fast-food burger joint. But the three humble-looking Couzins Catfish Castle venues have been raking in pretty impressive loot.

The problem for the Acklins is that they attempted to hide some of those earnings from the Internal Revenue Service. It turns out that wasn’t such a good idea.
