A festival on the road, a dream come true, a lineup jam-packed with indie entertainment for everyone to enjoy, Courtney Barnett has announced the ‘Here and There’ boutique touring festival.

The one-day, one-stage festival will be traversing across North America to hit 15 locations, beginning Aug. 8 with our very own Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland. The special event spanning over Aug. and Sept. features over 20 of the most exciting indie artists in music today.

“When I was a kid I would make mix-tapes and dream up my own festivals, I’d even design the t-shirts and pair up musicians for iconic collaborations. I’d listen to the mix-tape and pretend it was the live recording of a concert, all my favorite artists on stage together,” says Barnett. It’s always been important to me to share the stage with people that I admire and artists that inspire me, which is why I’m so excited and grateful to announce this amazing lineup.”

Alongside Barnett’s melodic tunes and impassive singing style, will be artists Alvvays, Arooj Aftab, Bartees Strange, Bedouine, Caroline Rose, Chicano Batman, Ethel Cain, Faye Webster, Fred Armisen, Hana Vu, Indigo De Souza, Japanese Breakfast, Julia Jacklin, Leith Ross, Lido Pimienta, Lucy Dacus, Men I Trust, Quinn Christopherson, Sleater-Kinney, Snail Mail, The Beths, Waxahatchee, and Wet Leg.

Lineups will vary city-by-city and can be found online. The unique set-list for Kansas City includes Courtney Barnett, Lucy Dacus, and Quinn Christopherson.

Courtney is partnering with Plus1 to donate $1/ticket to The Ally Coalition and their work supporting LGBTQ Youth across the country. The organization will also be providing site specific programs throughout the tour.

TAC is focused on creating better lives for LGBTQ youth through tours, campaigns, and sponsorships. The institution’s relations with prominent artists—such as Bleachers, Big Thief, Faye Webster, Beach Bunny and Caroline Rose—raise awareness of inequality faced by the young LGBTQ community, and encourage fans to engage meaningfully with such issues.

‘Here and There’ was born of Barnett’s curiosity, creativity, and love of curation. The owner of her own record label—Milk! Records—Barnett idea for Here And There was inspired by a couple of life-changing events Courtney was invited to host and curate.

The official presale for tickets begins Tues, March 29 at 10am local and can be found online. The first 100 people to register will receive a unique Flexi disc.
