Cookbooks galore and four other weekend events

Still don’t know what to buy for the foodie in your life? Well, Robert

and Molly Krause — of Esquina and the Burger Stand, in Lawrence — sign

their book, The Cook’s Book of Intense Flavors, Saturday at Function Junction at Crown Center. The signing is from 1 to 4 p.m.

And that’s not the only cookbook sale in town. The Friends of the Library Cookbook Sale is also on Saturday. The fourth annual event runs from

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City Library (4801

Main). Most cookbooks are $3, but the most giftworthy may run between

$5 and $15.
