Competitive eater Randy Santel hopes to win tater tots for life at Bar Louie tot-eating contest

It’s a fact of life that Randy always wants your tots. Kansas City’s Randy Santel (the competitive eater who last month defeated six Washington state eating challenges) is getting ready to compete for a lifetime supply of loaded tater tots (potato cylinders covered in white cheddar cheese, spicy giardiniera, bacon and green onions) from Bar Louie.

He’ll be competing against four other eaters in the franchise’s “Rock the Tot” national championship eating competition Sunday, June 24, in the Cleveland location. If Santel manages to eat the most tots in six minutes, as he did by qualifying in a local competition earlier this month (eating 4 pounds, 7 ounces), he walks away with loaded tater tots for life, a trophy, Heineken electric guitar and a $500 Visa check card.
