City Market’s Groovalicious Fruit and other weekend possibilities

Can you dig that real earthy soul? As part of its 2012 Farm to Table Celebration Series, the City Market (20 E. Fifth St.) is having its Groovalicious Fruit event Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s the heart of summer, and vendors will be stocked with raspberries, blueberries, tomatoes, melons and peaches. Also at the market: The Friends of the Kansas City Public Library are having a used book sale, and the University of Missouri Extension will be at the Farm to Table Kitchen. Harvesters will be collecting product donations.
