Cider Mill Century and other weekend possibilities

Some people might travel to the end of the Earth and back for a cool glass of fresh apple cider. You only have to go 25, 50, 70 or 100 miles this weekend. The Johnson County Bike Club is sponsoring the http://www.jcbikeclub.org/2011 Cider Mill Century at Louisburg Cider Mill on Sunday, August 7. The first 500 riders to check in get a free, commemorative pint glass, and lunch is served at the Cider Mill after the ride. Registration opens at 6 a.m., and the ride begins at 7 a.m. The ride costs $30 for members, $35 for nonmembers (although it’s $5 off if you register online by Friday).
