Mamas, don’t let your children grow up to be picky eaters. A childhood of cereal bowls doesn’t mean you’ll avoid sushi when you’re older, but it might mean that food will come to symbolize sustenance rather than providence. Call it the foreign-language corollary: the younger you start, the more likely it is that you’re going to take risks when dining out.
