Chacko’s Eatery closes next week
If you want a final cinnamon roll (or several) or, perhaps, a few of those tasty cinnamon-and-sugar “downtowner rolls” from Chacko’s Eatery, in Mission, tomorrow or next Saturday, you better call in your order by noon today at 913-671-8199. Chacko’s co-owner and baker David Finn has been serving those popular pastries only on Saturdays for several years now, and because the combination lunch bistro and bakery closes its door for good April 27, fans of the rolls better get on the horn before it’s too late.
Finn and his wife and business partner, Rachel, aren’t sure what their next career step will be: David Finn has been in the culinary business for most of his adult life; before opening Chacko’s as a catering venture 15 years ago, he worked for the PB&J restaurants.
