Carrying your own condiment

I’ve got friends addicted to maple syrup and Tabasco. Thankfully, these are two different friends — although both of them are happy with a plate of chicken and waffles. I didn’t realize how strongly they were attached to the condiment until dining out with them several times.

It’s usually somewhere between the salad course and the entree that a tiny bottle appears on the table. An airplane or sampler bottle of Tabasco produced from a purse. But even my most singularly-minded friends can’t take the belt from boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. The welterweight champion of the world apparently slathers A1 on everything. The following is from The New York Post’s Page Six and accordingly should be taken with a large grain of salt:

The A.1. bottle was then placed as a centerpiece on the table. “A.1. was doused on every single item — chicken, steaks, even the garlic mash,” a witness reports, adding, “Floyd made a comment that he even eats cereal with A.1.”
