Bulldog Restaurant & Bar closes June 5
When the new Kansas City streetcar eventually rumbles by the low-slung building at 1715 Main, the illuminated sign above the door won’t say Bulldog Restaurant & Bar.
The building’s owner, Dick Snow, who opened the pub in 2004 (with partners Doug Hartmann and Bill Stoler), plans to close the Bulldog in order to lease the space to a new tenant this summer. The Bulldog’s last day will be June 5, the first Friday of the month.
“It’s been very successful, but honestly, the space needs a reboot,” says Snow, “and I’m not sure that I’m the guy to go through that process again.”
