Bravo’s Top Chef harvests Renee Kelly for its upcoming new season

If there ever was a local chef with the right stuff for television, it’s restaurateur Renee Kelly.

I’ve been predicting for several years that Kelly — owner of Renee Kelly’s Harvest, at 12401 Johnson Drive in  Shawnee — has the looks, the intelligence and the culinary skills to wow the TV food audience. In two months, Kelly gets her chance to do just that.

Kelly will be showing off her cooking prowess before celebrity judges Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, Richard Blais and Emeril Lagasse when the Bravo network kicks off Season 13 of its popular Top Chef series. The two-part season opener airs on Wednesday, December 2, and Thursday, December 3.
