Bobby Flay’s next Throwdown should be writing a less obnoxious jingle

The new season of Throwdown With Bobby Flay premieres tonight, and I couldn’t be more excited. On this show, Bobby Flay shows up, relatively unannounced, to challenge somebody who — unlike him — isn’t an Iron Chef to a cook-off. In front of all of his opponent’s friends. On TV. So no pressure there.

I’m not excited because I’m going to watch it, though. I actually find the whole concept of Throwdown off-putting. But maybe now that the season premiere is here, Food Network will stop running that infernal promo for it, like, every commercial break.
