Blanc captures burger title, celebrates with sliders

Butler didn’t quite get there, but Blanc Burgers + Bottles scored one for the little guy by winning the Burger Business.com Burger Brackets.

“I was amazed at the strength of support that Blanc had from the start,” says Editor Scott Hume.
 
Blanc bested a field of 64 burger chains from across the country, defeating In-N-Out Burger in the finals. The contest — sponsored by the Web site devoted to burger news — used Internet voting to advance “teams” each round. 

“This is just a lot of fun. It speaks to how much people like burgers

and how they have very different opinions about who makes the best

one,” says Hume.

To celebrate, Blanc is offering $2 classic sliders at both its Plaza (4710 Jefferson) and Leawood (10583 Mission Road) locations from 3 to 6 p.m. through Friday. Charles Ferruzza’s review of the new Plaza location runs in this week’s print edition.
